I have a confession, I technically haven’t deep conditioned my hair in months. I searched the hair care aisles at Wal-Mart over the past few months and I wasn’t able to find my deep conditioner of choice, LeKair Cholesterol. Since the shelves have changed quite a bit, I thought perhaps they would no longer carry it.

I did my usual quick walk through of the haircare aisle and I didn’t expect much. I was happy to see, however, that LeKair was back on the shelves. The packaging has changed, which explains the months of empty shelves. The plain label is now a navy blue and the fonts are modernized. I compared the ingredients to those listed on the old packaging and that does not seem to have changed.

There were only 3 jars on the shelves, so I snagged all three. If I’m not mistaken, the price was a little less than usual. I paid $1.87 each. I know the ingredients in it aren’t stellar, but the price is great, a little product goes a long way, and it’s a strengthening conditioner that works well for my hair. I’m glad I’m finally restocked and I can go back to regular deep conditioning/protein use.

  1. I know what you were going through. I too have been searching various beauty supply stores and Targets in the DC area and FINALLY came across Lekair. I’ve been looking for 2 YEARS. Crazy huh? Anyway, my hair still loves it and it was easy to detangle, even 9 months post relaxer.

    1. Wow that’s crazy! The only store I’ve ever seen it in is Walmart. It’s not at the Target, Sallys, or other BSS near me. When I lived in the DMV, I don’t remember ever going to Walmart. I’d probably have to drive to VA and I wasn’t doing all that. I’m glad your long search has ended! 🙂
