I did my braidout this week on dry – bunned hair because of work calling me in, mid styling. The braidout only lasted 2 days. I had to cowash today and decided to do a simple ponytail. I tried out a new conditioner- Suave Naturals Coconut.

Tresemme Naturals was $4.50 in Target. I thought that price was outrageous, considering every other Tresemme product is $3 something and the others also come in a larger bottle around double the amount for $5 something. The 25 oz bottle of Tresemme only lasts about a week because I have to use so much. Suave was around $1.60…for 22.5oz. I wasn’t too concerned about the performance, I just need something cone-free to cowash with that isn’t going to break the bank.

I used about 1/6th of the bottle to cowash and as a leave in. Considering how much hair I have, that’s not bad at all. It doesn’t have as much slip as Tresemme, but I was able to finger detangle in the shower just fine. I don’t cowash in sections or anything like that and the process was my usual 5-10 mins total. I really like it as a leave in. It didn’t leave a residue or a coated feeling- like Tresemme. My hair is super soft and I feel okay not putting anything else on it…for now.

My hair is about 80% dry in these pics, so it’ll shrink up a little more.
