Here are some of my tips for the upcoming Black Friday hair care sales.
- Plan ahead. Research sales and shops well before the date. Decide on what you want and take note of what time each sale starts. There are lots of apps, websites, and blogs to help you figure out what’s out there.
- Decide on a budget and stick to it. Black Friday is not an excuse to go crazy. Pick a dollar amount that you are comfortable with spending and don’t go beyond it. It’s easy to get carried away with sale prices. You’ll feel more accomplished if you stayed on target.
- Be prepared for long shipping times. If you shop online, expected longer than usual shipping times. During periods of high volume sales, it can take some time to receive all of your items. For small businesses and business making hair care goods, this is even more true. It’s good to be patient and give your order a few weeks to ship. There are some cases where businesses are not prepared for sales and take months to ship- which is not acceptable.
- If you miss out on Black Friday, there’s always Cyber Monday. The trend lately is that most businesses offer great deals outside of Black Friday. Online businesses, especially, have great Cyber Monday deals. Don’t fret about missing the Friday sales, research and get ready for sales on Monday. Who knows, you might find something better.
- Don’t let bad customer service slide. If you didn’t receive what you ordered or are otherwise unsatisfied with the product, contact the company. It is a busy season and mistakes do happen. However, as a customer, it’s within your rights to get exactly what you paid for…whether it’s from a small business or huge corporation. Keep the lines of communication open and cordial and resolve any discrepancies.
- Know your dispute resolution options. If a sale doesn’t go as planned, know the refund policy. Use a payment method that provides some sort of protection. Paypal offers dispute resolution and credit cards have some protection as well. Know the time limits for filing a dispute/claim or returning/exchanging an item.
- Don’t buy too much. Products made from all natural ingredients will degrade rather quickly. If you want preservative free stuff, be prepared to deal with shorter shelf lives. Don’t stock up on items that you can’t use up in a reasonable amount of time.
I hope that helps you during your Black Friday hair care shopping. If you have any tips to share, please comment below.
Thanks. I did so well last black Friday, I decided to be extra prepared this year. I will be buying locally from Sage Naturalceuticals as well as taking advantage of online deals from Oyin Handmade & B.A.S.K. Beauty. I know everyone’s budget is different but my goal is to buy enough to last me until next Black Friday.
I’m in Florida and I wish we had someplace like Sage. I would try out a lot of new products if I had a brick and mortar shop near me. Your plan sounds really good. I usually check out a few new vendors around the BF sales. I’ll look into Oyin and Bask. Thanks for sharing! HHJ
Thanks for the tips! I plan on getting some stuff from Camille Rose and Darcy’s Botanicals. Will also check out B.A.S.K. Beauty. Like Nakia, I hope to stock up with stuff to last me until June next year.
Sounds like a great plan! I still haven’t decided what I’m getting. -__-
