I posted about my plan  to wear a wig for the rest of November and December. That didn’t exactly pan out. I put in loose (sorta loose) mini twists with braided roots. I’ll probably keep these in for 3-4 weeks. I wanted my hair out of the way and needed something that would be easy to deal with because I’m waking up at 430 am to workout…ugh! Here’s a preview of my twists- styled in a low bun for work.

An Afro-American girl with afro textured hair. I found a method of maintaining my hair in braids that I'd like to share! :)

    1. Thanks! 😀 I have really fine hair that doesn’t exactly agree with twists. Strands of hair work their way out of the twists and get tangled with the other twists around it. The braided roots help my hair stay organized and prevents tangling (at least at the roots). It also helps my hair lie flatter. As a bonus I can see how much my hair has grown. Twists tend to slip out of my hair so I wouldn’t be able to tell what is new growth and what is loosening. With braids, the hair doesn’t slip out and I can see how much true new growth I have while in the style.
